IPTV subscription for Firestick, set up in ten minutes
The Fire TV Stick is the most common way to watch IPTV in the UK: it is cheap, it plugs into any HDMI port and it runs the best player apps. Here is how to get 800+ UK channels on it.

Allow apps from unknown sources
On the Firestick go to Settings, My Fire TV, Developer options, and switch on Install unknown apps for the Downloader app. If Developer options is hidden, open About and click the device name seven times.

Install Downloader
From the Amazon Appstore search for Downloader (orange icon, by AFTVnews) and install it. It is free.

Install your player app
In Downloader, enter the download code or address we send you for IPTV Smarters Pro or TiviMate. Install it, then delete the installer file to save space.

Enter your login
Open the player, choose Xtream Codes login, and type the name, username, password and server URL from our WhatsApp message. The channels load in under a minute.
Getting the best picture on a Firestick
Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports F1 are carried in 4K UHD, and most other UK channels in Full HD. To see the 4K feeds you need a 4K stick, a 4K television and about 30 Mbps of steady broadband. On a standard Fire TV Stick, pick the FHD or HD version of a channel instead; you will find several versions of the big channels in each group, so there is always a lighter one if your connection struggles.
Keeping the stick fast
- Uninstall apps you never open: a Firestick has little storage and slows down when it is full.
- Restart it once a week by holding Select and Play together for five seconds.
- Turn off data monitoring and app usage data in Settings, Preferences, Privacy.
- Plug it into the mains adapter, not the TV's USB port, which often cannot supply enough power.

Which Firestick do I need?
Any Fire TV Stick from the 2nd generation onwards works for HD. For 4K channels, use a Fire TV Stick 4K, 4K Max or Fire TV Cube.
IPTV Smarters or TiviMate?
IPTV Smarters Pro is free and simple, a good first choice. TiviMate looks more like a satellite box, with favourites and fast zapping; some of its features need a paid upgrade. Both work with the same IPTV27 login.
Why does it buffer on my Firestick?
Nine times out of ten it is Wi-Fi. Move the router closer, use the 5 GHz band, or fit an Ethernet adapter, which costs about £15. Clearing the app cache in Settings, Applications also helps on older sticks.
Can I use the same login on two Firesticks?
You can install it on both, but only one can play at a time. Watching on two at once needs a second subscription.
Do I need a VPN?
It is not required for the service to work. Some people use one for privacy; if you do, choose a UK server close to you so speed stays high.
